The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australian Government initiative that provides funding to eligible people with disability to access the support they need to live more independently and achieve their goals. The NDIS supports people with permanent and significant disabilities across all stages of life.
NDIS participants receive an individualised plan based on their unique goals and needs, and funding is provided to help access services and supports that build skills, confidence, and quality of life.
To be eligible for the NDIS, you must:
Be under the age of 65
Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
Have a permanent and significant disability that impacts your daily life
Require support now to improve future outcomes
You can check your eligibility and apply directly through the NDIS website or by calling the NDIS on 1800 800 110.
If you’re already an NDIS participant:
Check your plan to see if it includes funding under the Improved Relationships support category.
If Positive Behaviour Support is not listed, speak to your Support Coordinator or Local Area Coordinator (LAC) about your needs.
Once funding is approved, you can choose a provider (like Evolve Therapies) to deliver Positive Behaviour Support.
